Promised Pics

Here are a couple of pics of A from last nights game. They lost but not by much. The team they lost too was the best in the league.

The count down

The count down is getting very intense. We are in the final 2 weeks of school. Both kids have field trips tomorrow. Megan is touring LaGrande and the surrounding area on bikes and Anthony will be at the water park. We are also getting ready for Lady Grandma and Grandpa arriving on the 10th. The will get to enjoy a week of crazy schedules. A rumor coming down the mill that my oldest may have a chance at All Stars. We haven't mentioned it to him, because we don't want him getting his hopes up. That will mean a summer of baseball and soccer. I am also getting excited for a trip back to Sacramento. Mom and I are making plans (oh yeah, and Dad too. lol).
I hope the weather is as beautiful where you are at, as it is here.

Mushroom Picking

It is the time of year where we hike up the mountain a mile or so, all in the hopes of finding mushrooms. It was a perfect day for the hike and we did find about 3 lbs of lovely mushrooms. We also found an empty bear den that we decided not to point out to the kids. So far we have been very lucky and have not seen any wild and less then friendly animals. Jason gave us a lesson on what to do when you see a bear, so we where pretty prepared. The schools here teach what to do if your lost or see wild animals in the woods. The mushrooms are prepared and waiting to be eaten. The kids and I where sampling while I was cutting. YUMMMMM

He is so Grown Up

Jason is a 1st grader now. He had a speaking part and did great. What can I say, we are so proud of him.

A Show of Hands

I need a show of hands of people who think Elizabeth should just slug Rosie. I don't advocate violence in anyway but I do believe I would be popping popcorn to watch the show.

Winning Team

Anthony is so happy to be on a winning team. It has been awhile and he has proven he can be a good sport. They won tonight 10-1. That makes them 3 and 1. LHS also won the state playoffs today in a nail biting game against North Bend.

3 More Weeks

We had a long weekend. Spent Saturday visiting some friends and had a great time. Anthony went to a party at his friends house and Jason went with me to Julies house. Megan spent the weekend at the Portland Zoo having a blast. She fed a cheetah and got to hold a baby monkey. I am keeping my fingers crossed that someone took pictures. Julie, Jason and I went to see Shrek 3. I didn't think it was that great, but we still had a good time.

This week will be super busy. We have 3 weeks of school left for the older 2 and 3 days left for the littlest. I will keep you updated and will have lots of pictures.

Yea Baby!!!

Anthony's team won 12-2 and he did GREAT!!!! They have him in the starting batting line up and he fielded most of the game. We got home by 10pm but his adrenaline was pumping. I will have some pics once we have a daytime game.

Mothers Day

Mothers day was very nice. Steve and the kids made dinner for me, while Jason and I played endless games of Candy Land. The weather was great and we ate outside.

Baseball is in full swing and Anthony looks great out there. He made an awesome catch in left field. He ended up sliding across the field and catching the ball while landing on his back. A very Anthony move. He was worried about how fast they pitch in this league, but he is manged to get some hits. Did I say how cute he looks in his uniform? I will post some pics as soon as I take them. So far they are 1-1....

Have a great day!!

Hump Day

Good morning everyone. I am very happy writing this today. My son was a sweetheart and replaced my keyboard with another one we had and now my space bar is working. Yeahhh. He is being extra nice and helpful this week, with good reason. Steve and I are making a big decision for him. He has the chance to go to Washington DC., New York and Philly next spring break with his class. It means a lot of his extra time will be donated to fund raising, however it is a chance of a lifetime. He is being extra sweet and helpful, hoping we are going to say yes. We are going to say yes, but just not tell him until next week. Why blow a good thing, my car needs to be washed.
Have a great spring day.

Baseball is in full swing

Yes, little league season is officially open!!! It started with a parade downtown and an afternoon game. The weather could not have been more perfect.
I spent the afternoon painting an old table for the kids room, and Steve cleaned carpets. I think we had every neighborhood kid come through here today, but the kids had fun. We are keeping our fingers crossed for the weather to stay nice for a garage sale next weekend.
Anthony went to his first school dance last night and had a good time. He even danced with a girl. lol
Have a wonderful weekend.

Crazy Life

Jason had his first game last night. Very cute and he is hitting so much better then last year. He seems like he is really getting the idea of the game. This weekend is the official opening day of little league here. It starts with the parade down town (very cute) and ends with Jason's game at noon. Anthony's games don't start until the 12th. I was right, most of his games will be out of town. That's ok, because they are on Saturdays so it's not to bad. Speaking of Anthony, the child is eating me out of house and home. He has is first dance this Friday night. Of course, I will have pictures. He is very excited and there is a girl he wants to hang out with. My baby is growing up.
Have a good day.
