A Completely Unbiased Review

Maybe not completely unbiased.

Hairspray was completely amazing.
Be kind, these pics are straight from the camera

The set is so bright and fun.  The actors are so completely talented.  This is a very small town and I am always in complete awe of the talent.

This pic was taken on a dress rehearsal night.

Another pic from dress rehearsal.  They are posing for me during a quick break for actor notes. Jason and Emily are great friends.  It's very much a brother sister relationship.  Even when they agree on a subject, they argue because they don't agree the same way.  Her dad Tony is the brains behind this amazing set.

There are so many people responsible for the show and all the shows.  So many people behind the scenes that make this happen.

Love this kid.

He completely puts himself out there for a laugh.

This is the first time this show has been done in our area.

Here are a couple of pics from my phone.  This was our last dress rehearsal night.   Edna played by Blake comes out of the giant hair spray can.  They completely repaint this stage every show that is done out there.

Did I say this show is amazing.  It's AMAZING!!!!!!

I love this small town.

Small Town 4th of July Parade

I love the 4th of July, especially in a small town.  Our small town doesn't do a parade, we do the big fireworks show.

So we headed off to the next town over to watch theirs.

Here is our towns Mayor Dan.  Jasons wants to be invited over his house for dinner.  That way he can tell his friends, "I can't hang our right now I am having dinner with the Mayor."  Dan also goes to our church and his daughter cuts my hair.  Small towns.

Here comes my kid.  He's the little one in the snipper suit.  He is supposed to be hunting the monster in front of him.  He voleenters his time at our local family fun center.  Every year they do a really good haunted house.  My son is one of the actors.

After the parade, we are going to head up to the river.  Back home to enjoy a wonderful bbq, then up the the college stadium for some fun with friends, live music and one of the best firework shows I have seen.

Happy 4th of July.

Another B. Day Post

This one also goes under my "what I love about small towns."

The family that owns this little drive in is very familiar with my son.  He has gone to school with the owners daughter for the last few years.  The weather was bad so it didn't go up on his birthday.  She finally put it up last weekend and has been up since.

I did what I do.  I park across the street with my zoom lens on and took pictures.  Jason said I looked like a stalker and I guess people in cars were passing me laughing.  Oh well, it's what I do.

Also, if you are in town, stop by Nell's.

Cold Cold Morning

Another installment of what I like and dislike about this small town.

I love that I can get up early and head off for a walk.  I like walking as the sun is coming up, very pretty.  I love that when I walked out my front door and headed down the street I saw a bunch of deer.  They were so pretty walking down the street.

What I don't like about this town:  The sidewalks were really icy this morning.  The dog really wanted to say hello to the deer and pulled me down with him.  I went down on my knee and I am pretty sore today.  Hopefully, I will heal quickly.  Not a good time of year to not be moving around very well.

On another note.  Anthony is off to a wrestling tournament today.  He pulled his shoulder in practice yesterday.  This is an old injury from 2 years ago.  I really think he should have taken this weekend off to heal for next weekend. He, however, believes different.  His response to me was, "I have wrestled with broken fingers before, I will be fine."  I hope so.  He won't even tape it up.  Wrestlers don't tape things.

I will keep you posted on how things play out.  I will hopefully have pictures, but not sure how much I will be on the mats with my knee hurting.  Oh well, have a great day.  Remember Christmas is only 9 days away.
